Uri spearheads Riverhouse’s financial investor platform, supporting private equity firms, credit funds, development finance institutions, infrastructure funds and investment banks looking to invest in Africa. He advises established market players and new entrants to frontier markets on hiring senior-level investor relations executives, investment professionals, and C-suite and operational executives to their portfolio companies. Uri’s 20-year track record spans infrastructure, TMT, consumer goods, healthcare and educational services, alongside financial services, across Africa (notably, the Sub-Saharan region), the Middle East and Russia.
Uri speaks Arabic, Hebrew and English with native fluency. He holds a BA Hons in Politics and Philosophy from Middlesex University.

As part of the management team, Nicola is integral to the firm’s day-to-day running, aligning activities to our long-term business goals. Her role oversees operations and the work of Riverhouse’s executive team. She assists Sam, Managing Partner, with strategic planning and implementing business strategies, plans and procedures. These are designed to promote improvements and efficiencies within Riverhouse on an ongoing basis.
Alongside operations, Nicola’s role encompasses HR, finance and marketing.

Having started her executives search career in 2004, Snezhina focuses on strategic hires in global emerging markets across investment banking, capital markets, private equity and corporate governance, and infrastructure globally. As a pioneer in executive search in Africa since 2007, she has an extensive track record, having participated in numerous landmark team builds and cross-border moves. On a daily basis, Snezhina is responsible for the management and training of the research team. She also teaches workshops on Time Management and Research and Writing Methods, coaches on career and personal development, and is actively involved in activities working towards equality and diversity.
Snezhina has a PhD in Ethnomusicology and two Master's degrees in Advanced Musical Studies and International Studies and Diplomacy (both Distinctions). She has published numerous articles, books and runs a cultural blog.
Snezhina speaks English, Spanish and Bulgarian.

Taru Oksman

Taru works across all practice areas on key strategic hires, bringing 20 years of search expertise to our clients. Her remit covers leadership, Board, Non-Executive and C-Suite roles in growth markets, London and other major global financial centres. Taru started out supporting early-stage private equity opportunities in Russia and the Ukraine, going on to launch and build two successful businesses. Her strengths include helping clients to tackle the challenges of expanding into new geographies and nascent markets. She has particular experience of teaming up with private equity companies, both with their acquisition and portfolio teams and the portfolio companies themselves.
Taru studied Russian and International Affairs at Columbia University (New York) and speaks English, Russian and her native Finnish.

His primary area of focus is infrastructure development for emerging economies and global luxury hospitality services for iconic properties, renowned brands, and hotel real estate investors. Alvaro holds an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona and a bachelor’s degree in advertising from the University of Navarre. Alvaro is fluent in Spanish, English, and French.

Sam is responsible for our vision and strategic goals. He embodies Riverhouse’s values and belief in building long-term strategic partnerships, helping to solve each client’s critical business issues as one team through the placement of talent. Sam began his search career in Investment Banking at Armstrong International, being promoted to Managing Partner in 2002. Armstrong was an early pioneer in bringing together recruitment capabilities and strong research. At CTPartners, he was Head of the Asset & Wealth Management Practice for EMEA before setting up his own executive search business, Leon Partners, to support a close group of capital owners.
A dual French-Cypriot national, raised in London, Sam speaks fluent French. He has a BSc in Econometrics from London School of Economics and Political Science.

She started her search career at Hogarth Davies Lloyd where she focused on Equities, Fixed Income, Investment Banking and Hedge Fund Portfolio Management. Prior to this she was Partnerships Manager at City CV, a career consultancy firm. She began her career on the trading floor at Credit Suisse where she was a Pan-European Equity Salesperson servicing fund managers across the UK and Europe, specifically London, Scotland and the Benelux.
